Meet Our

2009-2010

Staff

We are excited to introduce

the faculty of Clover Christian School

for this 2009-2010 school year.

Our Lord has truly blessed us

with people who are committed to His ministry

and a quality education.

MS. ALICE KOHTZ, 3RD, 4TH, 5TH Grade:

Alice is returning to Clover for her 13th year of teaching. She taught for 10 years at Faith Lutheran School in Mountain Home where she was also acting Principal. Alice has a degree in Secondary Education from Boise State University and has completed her Colloquy through the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Alice is an Idaho State Certified teacher. Alice is the proud mother of nine children and 4 grandchildren.   Alice is looking forward to teaching our 3RD, 4TH, 5TH grade students this coming year.  Alice loves teaching and truly understands the benefits of Christian education.

MRS. BRENDA TEWS, 1ST & 2ND Grade:

Brenda received a Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Endorsement, from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.  She taught 1st grade for two years and 2nd grade for three years in Oregon.  Brenda is considered a "local" even though she has lived in Oregon for the past 24 years.  She grew up on a farm a few miles from Clover and attended 1st-8th grade at Clover.  Upon graduating from Filer High School, her journeys took her to Oregon where she experienced a wide-range of employment from working for Continental Airlines, an Employment manager & a small business owner. Her biggest job continues to be a mother to two teen-age sons who are 19 and 16 and have chosen to stay in Oregon.  Brenda received a "nudge" from God to return to Idaho after re-connecting, after 30 years, with her high school sweet-heart, Mike Tews.  They were joined in Holy Matrimony last year. They reside in Kimberly.  Brenda also is blessed with a 13 year old step son.  God has paved a way for Brenda to return to her roots. She is thrilled to be at the school that gave her a foundation for life, both spiritually & academically.

MRS. SHIRLEY HADLEY, Kindergarten

Shirley has been with Clover for many years.  Her teaching techniques and strong Christian faith has blessed Clover's Kindergarten program.  Shirley grew up in the Filer area and attended Clover Trinity in her elementary years and Filer H.S.   Shirley's husband, Steve, is the ground keeper at Clover Trinity.  With all that they do for the school and church it is a good thing that they live next door.  Shirley and Steve have two adult children and are proud grandparents of three.

MR. MARCUS LUTZ, Administrator:

Marcus received a Bachelor degree in Dec. 2008 in General Business Management from Boise State University.  He is excited to be back at Clover after having attended K-8 and graduating in 1986.  Marcus has three children and his wife, Amber, owns a beauty salon in Twin Falls. Marcus enjoys outdoor activities and is also the director of the churches youth group.  He is excited to be where he knows God has placed him and to be reaching out to meet the needs of the school and the community.

  • A special thank you to our Board of Education who so willingly give of their time and talents to help our school function. Board Members are: Bernice Conder, Jay Garrison, Steve Hadley, Naomi Hopkins, Tayna Moore, and Sue Roesler.

I am excited as we begin another year.  What a joy to have such a wonderful staff to work with.  I praise God for giving me this opportunity to serve in our Lutheran School and thank Him for continuously reminding me to rely on His promises, such as my confirmation verse: “God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble.”  Psalm 46:1.  I ask that you remember our school in your prayers daily.

Rejoicing in His love,

Yvonne Reinke, Secretary
